News briefs for october 16, 2026. - Brown-Forman has announced a new limited edition line of whiskies from Old Forester, the Tribute Series. The collection kicks off with 2026 Old Forester Tribute Series, a 12-year-old Bourbon bottled at 57.5% abv and presented in a special decanter, unique to the series inspired by Christmas decanters released by the brand in the 1950s. Going forward, Brown-Forman says, the Tribute Series will focus on presenting some of Old Forester's best well-aged stocks drawn from across the brand's rick houses, as opposed to release single barrel or individual lot bottlings. The first release in the Tribute Series is now available in select retailers across the U.S. for a suggested price of $300. Last year, Old Forester was at 479,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank. - Azúcar Tequila has expanded with a new line of spirits-based RTDs, initially launching in Texas. The canned Margaritas come in three flavors - Classic Lime, Spicy Lime and Passion Fruit - all at 5.5% abv and 180 calories per can, and made with Blanco Tequila, fruit, and agave nectar. Currently, the RTDs are available at retail in Austin and Dallas with fuller Texas distribution to come. In addition, the brand is available for DTC ordering, where available. - Bacardi is celebrating Halloween with a new limited-edition, glow-in-the-dark bottling of the company's namesake white rum. The release, the Bacardi Superior Ghost Bottle, is available nationwide and is the anchor of the brand's wider Halloween programming, which includes a presenting sponsor partnership with AMC's Fearfest and serving as the Official Spirits Partner of Janelle Monáe's imaginative Wondaween Festival. Brown-Forman takes Jack Daniel's Tennessee Blackberry into rtds.

Brown-Forman takes Jack Daniel's Tennessee Blackberry into rtds. Last updated: 18/09/2026 at 5:51 PM 18 September 2026 'After seeing the response, we knew it was the cocktail that earned its can ...' Brown-Forman has added a premix extension to the blackberry-flavoured SKU of flagship whiskey Jack Daniel's in the US, barely a year after the full-strength variant's release. The company, which added Tennessee Blackberry to the American whiskey's permanent portfolio in August last year, confirmed the launch in the country of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Blackberry Mixed With Lemonade this week. According to the brand owner, the RTD is a response to the viral trend of mixing Blackberry with lemonade that it observed last year. Available nationwide, the 4.8%-ABV premix has an SRP of US$11.99 per four-pack of 35.5cl cans. "When we launched Jack Daniel's Tennessee Blackberry last summer, fans quickly fell in love with its signature cocktail of Tennessee Blackberry and refreshing lemonade," said Jack Daniel's RTD brand director at Brown-Forman, Mary Beth O'Mara. "After seeing the response, we knew it was the cocktail that earned its can, and we're excited to bring it to our friends in a format that makes it even easier to enjoy." Of Jack's other flavoured variants, Tennessee Honey also has an RTD sibling that features lemonade, albeit at a stronger ABV of 7%. In results for the three months to the end of July, when group sales dipped by 1%, Brown-Forman noted that Jack's three flavour extensions not including Blackberry - Apple, Fire and Honey - were in marked decline sales-wise, while its RTD operations delivered an 11% top-line lift.

Brown-Forman announces $500 million debt offering.

Brown-Forman announces $500 million debt offering. LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Brown-Forman Corp. announced Thursday it has priced a $500 million debt offering that the Louisville-based spirits company could use for purposes ranging from refinancing existing debt to stock repurchases, acquisitions and capital investments. The company said it priced $500 million of 5.375% senior unsecured notes due Oct. 15, 2031. Brown-Forman, one of Kentucky's largest publicly traded companies and the owner of brands including Jack Daniel's, Woodford Reserve and Old Forester, said proceeds from the five-year notes will be available for general corporate purposes. Potential uses include paying dividends, repurchasing Brown-Forman shares under authorized stock repurchase programs, repaying or refinancing existing debt, including commercial paper, and providing additional working capital. The company also said proceeds could be used for capital expenditures, acquisitions and funding pension plan obligations. The offering provides Brown-Forman with $500 million of additional long-term financing at a fixed interest rate as the company manages its capital needs and existing debt obligations. Barclays Capital Inc., BofA Securities Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. are serving as joint book-running managers for the offering. The debt offering comes as Brown-Forman navigates a challenging environment for the global spirits industry. Earlier this month, the company reported fiscal 2027 first-quarter net sales of $911 million, down 1% from the same period a year earlier. Operating income declined 3% to $252 million, while diluted earnings per share increased 6% to 38 cents. Brown-Forman President and CEO Lawson Whiting said at the time that the company's first-quarter results were largely in line with expectations and that innovation continued to provide growth opportunities despite pressure in portions of the company's portfolio. Brown-Forman reaffirmed its full-year outlook when it released those results. The company has deep ties to Kentucky's signature bourbon industry. In addition to its Louisville headquarters, Brown-Forman's Kentucky operations and brands include Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Old Forester and Cooperage operations and other production and warehousing assets. Brown-Forman said the notes will be offered through a prospectus supplement and accompanying base prospectus filed as part of an effective shelf registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Copies of the prospectus and prospectus supplement relating to the senior notes may be obtained for free by visiting EDGAR on the SEC website at http://www.sec.gov. Brown-Forman Corporation is a global leader in the spirits industry, responsibly building exceptional beverage alcohol brands for more than 155 years. Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, The Bourbon Flight is guided by its founding promise, "Nothing Better in the Market." Its premium portfolio includes Jack Daniel's Family of Brands, Woodford Reserve, Old Forester, New Mix, el Jimador, Herradura, The Glendronach, Glenglassaugh, Benriach, Diplomático Rum, Gin Mare, Fords Gin, Chambord, and Slane.
