Responsibilities
  • Evaluate moderately complex credit and collections applications by gathering and analyzing financial information and supporting decision-making with accurate data and recommendations.
  • Provide guidance to subordinates so they complete assignments according to established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
  • Manage a large portfolio with a moderately complex account base, delivering tailored solutions, maintaining effective client relationships, and ensuring high service levels.
  • Contact clients with past-due balances to secure payment or payment commitments, follow up on promises, and claim payments from intermediaries or third-party collectors when applicable.
  • Manage unapplied cash and work with Collections to identify solutions for unreconciled cash items.
  • Oversee accounts receivable lean process improvements and maintain high master data quality to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and support reliable financial management and reporting.
  • Analyze accounts receivable for proper valuation, including value adjustments to trade accounts receivable and doubtful receivables.
  • Validate customers' creditworthiness and set credit policy decisions by using credit-check systems, reviewing contracts, and performing timely financial analyses of new and existing customers to interpret credit risk and credit limits using Philips scoring methodology and credit policies.
  • Secure credit decisions, including credit insurance and letters of credit; manage local relationships, maximize limit coverage, handle claims, and maintain guarantees to mitigate credit risk and support sales activities.
  • Drive scheme management and partner with Sales and Marketing teams to evaluate pricing strategies, promotions, and customer profitability.
  • Ensure timely release of blocked sales orders according to the approval matrix, review credit reports, use credit-risk mitigation tools, and present in credit-risk committee meetings.
  • Manage SOX and internal control systems in the Commercial area.
  • Coordinate with businesses on sales orders and validate and review credit-risk documentation and tools to ensure accurate processing and effective risk mitigation.
  • Report disputed or short-paid invoices with detailed reasons and collaborate with internal departments to expedite resolution and ensure timely payment.
