About the job

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience involving direct contact with the public is required.
  • Must be at least 25 years of age for insurance purposes.
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Knowledge of modern office methods and technologies is required.
  • Must be comfortable viewing deceased persons.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and some weekends.
  • Physical agility is required, including sitting, standing, walking, and bending the legs and spine.
  • Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Support funeral directors before, during, and after funeral services.
  • Greet arriving families, attend to their needs during services, and watch for their safety.
  • Maintain the service environment, set up services and supplies, place signage to direct families, and maintain cleanliness in gathering and other family-facing areas.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the funeral director.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual ability is a plus.
