About the job

Requirements
  • Hands-on experience coordinating directly with patients or clients, such as in care coordination, case management, patient services, or nurse navigation.
  • Skill in leading emotionally difficult conversations in person with patients and their relatives, not only back-office administration.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and warmly with people under stress.
  • Confidence managing intricate, deadline-driven logistics across many outside parties while keeping every detail on track.
  • Roughly 2 to 7 years of relevant experience; strong candidates with less experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to work in the office 3 to 4 days per week and live in the Bay Area.
  • Openness to occasional brief work trips paid for by the employer.
  • Availability during US working hours.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for patients, relatives, and treating physicians, maintaining communication through scheduled emails and video meetings throughout the patient journey.
  • Own cases from start to finish by gathering medical information, requesting records, and managing consent paperwork to keep each step on schedule.
  • Work with scientific, medical, and partnership colleagues; resolve administrative questions and refer medical concerns to the appropriate experts promptly.
  • Organize sample collection and shipping with physicians and laboratory partners, and track each sample until results are available.
  • Guide discussions about risks, costs, billing, and financial assistance with empathy and discretion.
  • Arrange practical support, including travel and appointment scheduling.
  • Keep case trackers current and maintain secure, accurate, confidential files.
  • Help shape the end-to-end case management process as an early team member, and later coach and lead new case managers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Background in oncology, individualized therapy programs, or clinical-trial enrollment.
  • Clinical training, such as nursing or a medical qualification.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare privacy rules, good clinical practice, and sample handling procedures.
  • Experience setting up new processes from the ground up.
  • A university degree.

About the company

Raydar is a talent acquisition firm that uses AI-powered recruiting to help tech-focused organizations hire. It operates on a contingency model: candidates aren’t charged, and clients pay a fee only after a successful placement sourced by Raydar. The process blends proprietary AI screening with human recruiters: AI identifies a broad candidate pool and conducts a 15-minute AI interview (recorded and transcribed), then human recruiters review materials and support interviews and offer negotiations. Raydar serves roles in engineering, data science, product management, sales, and legal across fintech, AI, and healthcare tech sectors, aiming to speed up sourcing while providing personalized evaluation and negotiation help.
