- BA or BS degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences or equivalent experience.
- Technical applications sales experience (5+ yrs.) in similar products and services preferred.
- Developed computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Must maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.
- Requires proven ability to speak in front of large groups.
- Exhibits willingness and ability to assimilate technical information quickly.
- Strong organization and leadership skills a plus.
- Track record of selling skills with excellent time management skills.
- Manage third party representatives (sales channel) to ensure Xylem products/brands are main focus, diligently measure channel performance, and look for opportunities to collaborate/align across brands.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in all areas of applications and associated products within the Xylem Analytics Process portfolio of products.
- Diligently manage the regional sales funnel using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to coordinate, prioritize and dedicate resources.
- Provides high-level technical consulting related to municipal and industrial market applications and how Analytics Process products and services meet the technical requirements of those markets and applications.
- Work with Applications and Product/Market Managers to influence marketplace through whitepapers/case stories & presentations at regional/national trade shows and conferences.
- Coordinates joint sales support activities, (such as training, consulting, Lunch and Learns) with Manufacturers Representatives.
- Work with channel and customers to identify key regional regulatory, applications, and product drivers and effectively communicate market needs to Xylem leadership.
