- Ability to recognize and identify different types of solder paste and their applications.
- Knowledge of the IPC-A-610 specification.
- Program and operate SMT machines to pick, place, and solder electronic components onto printed circuit board assemblies.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance.
- Program and run Mycronic pick-and-place machines.
- Program and run the Mycronic Jet Printer.
- Program and set the reflow oven.
- Set up and operate assigned production equipment while achieving quality, efficiency, and productivity goals.
- Monitor equipment operation to ensure assemblies are built to print and comply with applicable workmanship standards.
- Inspect printed solder paste and component alignment for accuracy.
- Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standards and class.
- Perform manual placement of SMT and PIH components when needed.
- Load feeders for equipment and wash boards as needed.
- Perform electrical testing of assemblies as required.
- Inspect products using a microscope, halo light, and X-Ray as required.
- Perform stenciling and screening of printed circuit boards as required.
- Troubleshoot the pick-and-place machine when issues occur.
- Mycronic training or machine skills.
- Knowledge of 3D X-Ray.
