About the job
- The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience in the role in similar fields.
- A technical background with the ability to read and understand drawings and technical documents is required.
- Very good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, are required.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, especially purchasing modules, bills of materials, and material requirements planning, is required.
- Experience in basic negotiation and dealing with external partners is required.
- Digital expertise is required.
- Technical education is required.
- Fluency in Italian and English, both spoken and written, is required.
- The candidate must be able to move between tasks according to priorities and needs.
- The candidate must be willing to work with different departments to ensure customer needs are understood and fulfilled.
- Monitor component availability for the assigned portfolio of customer orders and products, identifying potential material shortages and delivery risks.
- Create and manage purchase orders with suppliers in line with the production plan, material requirements planning requirements, and the purchasing framework defined by the Purchasing Manager and Value Stream Planning Manager.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm and align delivery dates, proactively expedite orders, and address potential delays to ensure material availability and support on-time production.
- Monitor and manage inventory and material movements, including inbound and outbound logistics of components to and from suppliers, ensuring accurate and timely stock transactions.
- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and other relevant functions to ensure an efficient and continuous flow of materials throughout the value stream.
- Support the Purchasing Manager in supplier scouting and identifying potential new suppliers, contributing to supplier development and supply continuity.
- Knowledge of basic Lean Manufacturing concepts is a plus.
