Requirements
- Hands-on experience in architecture design, implementation, and operations of Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service.
- Proven experience using Pivotal Cloud Foundry to architect Platform as a Service solutions, with the ability to take solutions through implementation when required.
- Complete understanding of Cloud Foundry architecture, including Diego Architecture, Cloud Foundry components, and their functionalities.
- Experience automating and provisioning cloud environments using application programming interfaces, command-line interfaces, and scripts.
- Proven experience with DevOps practices and technologies in software-defined infrastructure environments, delivering Infrastructure as Code.
- Proven experience with other Infrastructure as a Service platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, and with cloud-native application development.
- Experience architecting distributed systems and designing secure, scalable, and elastic architectures.
- Experience in customer-facing roles reviewing architecture and working with technical teams and developers.
- Software development experience using Java, Java Platform, Enterprise Edition, Spring/Java frameworks, and Node.js messaging.
- Database experience with relational database management systems and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies, including microservices and Docker containers, and DevOps practices including continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Understanding of cloud design principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written channels with technical and non-technical staff.
- Proficiency in authoring, editing, and presenting technical documents.
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Architect enterprise-grade Platform as a Service solutions using Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Provide technical leadership in Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Provide Platform as a Service vision, strategy, technology direction, and roadmaps to executives and technical management using Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Provide expert technical leadership to customers and partners regarding all aspects of Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Ensure successful architecture and deployment of enterprise-grade Platform as a Service solutions using Pivotal Cloud Foundry, as well as proper operation during initial application migration and new development.
- Maintain deep hands-on technical knowledge of Pivotal Cloud Foundry, application infrastructure, and architectures.
