Requirements
  • Applicants must have a minimum of three years of experience negotiating leases, conducting outside sales, or handling property sale agreements.
  • Active membership in the American Association of Professional Landmen is required.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, specifically Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive, is required.
  • Intermediate familiarity with basic computer applications, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, is required.
  • Significant travel may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Work independently to establish contact with multiple landowners across multiple counties and states.
  • Establish positive rapport with multiple landowners to facilitate working relationships.
  • Travel and meet with landowners as needed to negotiate and secure lease agreements, including at the landowner's property.
  • Negotiate surface and subsurface leases on behalf of clients.
  • Educate landowners on project scope, including lease terms and conditions, timing, procedures, and financial arrangements.
  • Provide daily updates to an internal database for review by project managers and clients.
  • Provide progress reports to project managers and clients on the status of negotiations and contact efforts with landowners.
  • Prepare Lease Purchase Reports containing executed lease agreements and other necessary transaction documents.
  • Conduct supplemental or limited title research in subject courthouses to confirm landowner surface and subsurface interests.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous oil and gas, energy, or renewable energy negotiation experience is preferred.
  • Applicants local to the project area, specifically the DFW, Texas area, are strongly preferred.
