Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Health and Human Services or the foreign equivalent is preferred, or equivalent years of experience in recovery-oriented services or a CASAC certification.
  • Ability to handle simultaneous challenging situations in a high-stress environment.
  • Ability to respond actively and flexibly to crisis situations while calmly addressing individuals' various needs.
  • Ability to carry out emergency building procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Function as a member of the admissions committee and high-risk committee, assisting in the development of initial individual action plans and individual safety plans.
  • Provide recovery-oriented activities in a group setting based on individual action plans, using evidence-based curricula when available.
  • Structure a learning environment that facilitates goal attainment.
  • Complete required regulatory and billing documentation within agency and regulatory guidelines.
  • Act as a liaison to outside agencies, ensuring continuity of services.
  • Coordinate individuals' care through the recovery process and assist them in assessing the major life roles they want to work toward.
  • Provide individual counseling, including crisis counseling, as reflected in the Individual Action Plan or requested by the individual.
  • Assist individuals in developing their Individual Action Plan and defining recovery-oriented goals.
  • Assist with the program recertification process through quality assurance reviews.
  • Ensure written documentation is professional in quality and forwarded to outside agencies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure conformity to organizational and site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Drive agency vehicles as needed for community outings.
