Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills are required.
  • The candidate must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • The candidate must be able to delegate work among team members and lead training activities for new staff.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Screen, recruit, consent, and enroll eligible subjects using Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
  • Implement research protocols and guidelines.
  • Schedule and conduct research visits, including ordering magnetic resonance imaging and positron emission tomography scans and escorting participants to scans.
  • Administer standardized neuropsychological assessments and semi-structured clinical interviews.
  • Process and ship biological samples.
  • Maintain and enter data into research databases containing patient and participant information.
  • Assist with or lead the preparation and submission of Institutional Review Board documents.
  • Independently lead the coordination of federally funded studies.
  • Create invoices, independently prepare and submit Institutional Review Board documents, train and delegate tasks to other coordinators, and clean and submit large data sets to study databases.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Clinical research experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience and/or interest in working with older adults is strongly preferred.
  • Experience administering cognitive assessments is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Institutional Review Board guidelines, human subject research practices, and professional skills for executing research protocols is a plus.
