About the job
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Applicants must have at least 2 months of experience working with camp-age children in a professional, personal, or volunteer setting.
- The employee must comply with applicable immunization, employment physical or screening, and health and safety training requirements.
- The employee must maintain and follow all safety and health rules of the location.
- The employee must be able to organize and maintain clean and accessible activity spaces.
- The employee must be able to stand for long periods while supervising children and facilitating activities.
- The employee must be able to participate in athletic games.
- Chaperone field trips, make connections with campers, and monitor their safety and wellness while traveling by bus to multiple stops.
- Actively supervise campers.
- Ensure compliance with camp policies.
- Report and record notable concerns, incidents, and injuries to campers, other staff members, or oneself.
- Keep track of and remain aware of campers’ allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Assist with camp setup and breakdown during move-in and move-out weekends.
- One year of experience working with camp-age children is preferred.
