Samba TV collects and analyzes TV viewing data to help advertisers, broadcasters, and content creators understand what people watch. It embeds its technology in about 35 million smart TVs across 20 brands, creating a large viewership database and a household identity graph. The system works by using a proprietary multi-source panel from participating TVs to gather viewing activity, then turning that data into insights and analytics that clients can use to plan ads, optimize content, and measure performance. What sets Samba TV apart is the size and scope of its data: it claims the largest end-to-end viewership dataset and identity graph in the industry, with a panel hundreds of times larger than typical measurements and broad brand partnerships, while offering privacy controls for viewers who opt in or out. The company aims to provide data-driven, actionable insights to improve advertising effectiveness and content delivery across the global smart TV market.

Samba, a global media intelligence company, has acquired Bestever AI, a generative AI platform for advertisers and marketers. Bestever founder Apoorva Govind joins Samba as Director of Product to lead AI product strategy, alongside the full Bestever team. Samba aims to build autonomous advertising agents powered by first-party data from 1.5 billion opted-in users globally. The company provides deterministic signals tracking how people stream video, watch TV and behave across screens. This foundation enables agents to autonomously research brands, build targeting strategies and deliver real-time analytics. Govind founded Bestever AI in 2023 after leadership roles at Apple and Uber. The startup was backed by Audacious Ventures, Offline Ventures, A16Z and F7 Ventures. The acquisition accelerates Samba's development of autonomous, data-driven advertising capabilities.
Samba acquires Bestever AI to accelerate the future of agentic advertising. SAN FRANCISCO, June 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Samba, the global leader in media intelligence, today announced the acquisition of Bestever AI, a GenAI platform built for advertisers and marketers. Bestever founder and CEO Apoorva Govind joins Samba as Director of Product, leading the company's AI product strategy, along with the full Bestever team. The future of advertising is not just automated, it is autonomous. And it will be guided by real data and real performance signals. While the industry rushes toward workflow automation and black-box engines, Samba is making a contrarian bet: an AI agent is only as intelligent as the data that fuels it. Generic, model-driven strategies cannot match agents built on first-party data at scale. Samba has spent years building exactly that foundation. With deterministic signals from 1.5 billion opted-in users globally, the company has an unparalleled, objective view of how real people stream video, watch linear TV, research topics online, and behave across every screen, insights even the largest walled gardens do not have. Samba is now deploying those signals to power a true agentic engine for the entire media ecosystem, one that autonomously researches each brand, builds a custom targeting strategy, and delivers actionable analytics in real time to optimize campaigns. What used to require entire data science teams and months of work can now happen in minutes. "The next era of advertising belongs to agents that can act on real intelligence to rapidly expand the audiences we can reach, with more personalization, and across many more platforms all at once. Samba has built the platform and the most accurate, deterministic data asset in the industry for over a billion user profiles. Apoorva and her team will focus on our agentic solutions which leverage that media intelligence, leaning into her rare combination of technical depth and product vision," said Ashwin Navin, Co-founder and CEO of Samba. Govind founded Bestever AI in 2023 after more than a decade in engineering leadership at Apple and Uber. Seeing the persistent gap between raw performance signals and creative that drives consumer decisions, she built Bestever AI to close it with technology that autonomously researches brands, develops competitive strategy, and generates ad creative driven by real performance data. The company was backed by Audacious Ventures, Offline Ventures, A16Z, and F7 Ventures. "Samba has something most AI companies can only dream about: a truly independent, deterministic view of how audiences behave across every screen, at massive scale. That is the foundation that makes agentic advertising actually work, and joining Samba means the opportunity to build with the best media intelligence in the industry," said Apoorva Govind, Director of Product at Samba. Samba's platform unifies TV, web, and other media signals into a single view of the consumer journey, enabling advertisers and media companies to plan smarter, measure more accurately, and target audiences on every screen. The Bestever AI acquisition accelerates Samba's agentic roadmap, bringing the company closer to its vision of autonomous, data-driven advertising built on intelligence the rest of the industry cannot replicate. About Samba Samba combines agentic AI, 907+ billion independent monthly data signals, and actionable analytics to take the guesswork out of media for the fastest growing brands in the world. Alabama Business Reporter call it Media Intelligence: going beyond demographics to understand what your customers are watching, reading, thinking and feeling across every screen, and then adjust your campaign to convert and win attention in real time. With over 1.5 billion opted-in user profiles, you have access to signals no one else has to hyper-target audiences, optimize outcomes, and convert purchase intent across every screen globally. TripleLift partners with leading measurement providers to elevate advertiser success. May 28, 2026 In today's complex advertising landscape, media metrics only tell a portion of the story. Campaign measurement must evolve to keep pace with changing consumer behaviors and the advanced technologies advertisers use to reach them. The true measure of success lies in whether the ad effectively influenced brand perception, drove sales, or achieved a meaningful social impact. At TripleLift, Triple Lift, Inc. believe that creative earns attention, intelligence guides decisions, and orchestration drives outcomes. Its guiding principle is that every impression has the potential to drive impact as long as creative, data, supply and measurement are working together, not in silo. To live up to that philosophy, Triple Lift, Inc. is thrilled to announce a significant expansion in its measurement capabilities through five new strategic partnerships with Attain, Circana, DISQO, Samba TV, and The GoodNet. By integrating these industry leaders into TL Spark, its coordinated intelligence layer, Triple Lift, Inc. is giving advertisers the tools to quantify performance across the open internet, retail media, and CTV with great precision. In addition, advertisers gain more robust and diverse methodologies to measure campaign impact across the funnel, from brand lift to closed-loop sales and social responsibility metrics. These new additions join its existing suite of partners including Cint, Happydemics, Adelaide, Scope3, iSpot, Comscore and InMarket, to create a holistic measurement suite. Here's a closer look at its new partners and the specific value they bring to campaigns: Attain (Live Transaction Data & Outcomes Measurement): Attain is the most trusted source of permissioned, real-time purchase data in the US, capturing live transaction signals from 14M+ opted-in consumers across 10,000+ merchants and $700B in annual spend. That always-on data layer empowers CPG, QSR, Retail, FinServ, and Entertainment advertisers to activate high-intent audiences, optimize in-flight, and measure true incremental sales - online, in-store, all in real time. Circana (Sales Lift): Circana provides closed-loop sales lift measurement by linking ad exposure to in-store and online purchases across a broad retailer network. Especially impactful for CPG advertisers, Circana enables brands to quantify the direct impact of media on real-world sales. DISQO (Outcomes Lift): DISQO delivers brand and outcomes lift measurement such as search impact (across platforms like Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.), site visitation, and ecommerce behavior. This is particularly valuable for environments such as CTV, where lower-funnel outcomes can be more difficult to track. Samba TV (Tune-In Measurement): Samba TV enables advanced tune-in measurement, helping entertainment advertisers accurately track viewership and engagement across platforms and devices. The GoodNet (Ethical Media Index): The GoodNet's proprietary GoodIQ platform enables advertisers to achieve improved performance at scale, whilst measuring and improving the social and environmental impact of their media investments. TL Spark empowers TripleLift to orchestrate creative, supply, audience, and measurement as one coordinated system. Its expanded measurement ecosystem allows for detailed understanding of each campaign's value, including how different creative versions perform and their direct impact on business results. In a landscape where every dollar is scrutinized, guessing isn't an option. By expanding its measurement tools, TripleLift strengthens the role of the Creative SSP, helping advertisers engineer outcomes while enabling publishers to maximize impression value and maintain high-quality consumer experiences.
Samba TV has launched Project Gravity, an independent data activation platform designed for AI-driven advertising. The platform matches advertisers' first-party data against Samba's Identity Graph and integrates with over 40 major advertising platforms, including DSPs, SSPs and walled gardens. Project Gravity enables real-time identity resolution and AI-native audience expansion, built specifically for agentic advertising where AI agents make thousands of buying decisions per second. The platform offers deterministic audience activation across major platforms including Google DV360, The Trade Desk, Meta and Amazon. Over a dozen agencies and data owners, including Acxiom, are already using the platform. Samba TV developed the solution internally after failing to find existing technology capable of real-time, global data onboarding with high identity resolution accuracy.
Samba TV has promoted Jaya Aswani to chief technology officer and appointed Ramzi Nasr as vice president of engineering. Aswani, who joined Samba in 2021 after a career in defence and aeronautics, will lead a global team of engineers, architects and data scientists. Nasr joins from VideoAmp, where he served as VP of engineering, and previously held leadership roles at Disney and comScore. The appointments come as the advertising industry enters what Samba calls an "agentic era", requiring platforms that support rapid data modelling and real-time insights. Samba TV provides AI-driven media intelligence using proprietary first-party data spanning broadcast, linear TV, streaming and digital platforms. The company is investing in technical leadership to scale its services for brands, agencies and media companies globally.
