Requirements
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; a Master’s degree can substitute for five years of relevant commercial or government experience. A degree must be from an accredited college or university. Applicant must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline, business administration, or security management.
  • Experience: at least 15 years of relevant commercial or government experience, including at least 10 years of relevant security-related experience and at least 5 years of experience in conducting appraisals.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Agency Missions, sites, facilities, operations, and organizational roles and responsibilities.
  • Detailed knowledge in physical protection aspects of safeguards and security including vulnerability assessment techniques, site safeguards and security plans, physical security, and interfaces among physical protection, and material control and accountability.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of physical security hardware including alarm systems, assessment systems, barriers, communications equipment, and advanced techniques for protecting high value security assets.
  • Ability to evaluate the application of a wide range of security requirements, plans, systems, and procedures sufficient to evaluate compliance with regulations and standards and the overall effectiveness of a program.
  • Possess knowledge of techniques to protect special nuclear materials and classified matter against diversion, theft, sabotage and espionage.
  • Familiarity with new technologies and research efforts in the areas of physical security hardware and software, and with physical security systems used by other government agencies.
  • Good understanding of Agency mission objectives and an ability to help line management identify solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent writing skills and a demonstrated ability to develop reports and presentations (verbal and written) that are understandable to a management audience.
  • The position requires an individual with excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe).
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization”.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
Responsibilities
  • Support requirements for CLIN 1000: Management And Technical Crosscutting Activities (Time And Materials) for Activities Related To General And Cross-Cutting Support.
  • Provide technical and administrative support a “check and balance” function by observing and reporting on the performance of Federal and contractor organizations’ implementation of security and safety policies and programs.
  • Apply enforcement actions to contractor organizations for poor performance in adhering to legally enforceable security and safety requirements.
  • Develop and deliver security and safety training programs that reflect best practices and lessons learned from EA independent assessments to enhance workforce performance.
  • Provide technical expertise to perform the effort for a full scope of oversight program and support activities for the enforcement and training programs in the areas of safeguards and security; cyber security; emergency management; and environment, safety, and health; as well as general and cross-cutting support.
