About the job
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations, or a related field is required; the CRHA designation is an asset.
- Relevant experience in a generalist human resources role is required, ideally in a manufacturing or operational environment.
- Strong organizational skills and rigor in managing multiple files, deadlines, and priorities are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, service orientation, discretion, and judgment are required to effectively support employees and managers.
- Comfort with human resources administrative processes, document management, and data compilation is required, together with a proactive, collaborative, and continuous-improvement approach.
- Good command of English is required.
- Act as a human resources resource person for employees and managers by providing professional, clear, solution-oriented support.
- Coordinate all activities related to employee welcoming, onboarding, and the employee life cycle, including hires, departures, internal movements, probationary periods, and exit interviews.
- Administer employee benefits and follow up on attendance, absences, and employees’ administrative requests.
- Manage and monitor the foreign-worker registry, including work permits, collection of required documents, and coordination with external partners.
- Participate in the administrative management of CNESST files and support managers in applying human resources processes, particularly regarding onboarding, probation, attendance, and employee relations.
- Prepare human resources communications and follow up on payroll, salary changes, bonuses, new hires, and departures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of human resources practices by keeping registers, data, forms, procedures, and administrative tools up to date.
- Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
- The CRHA designation is an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment is ideal.
