About the job
- A bachelor's degree or at least five years of relevant sales experience.
- At least three years of documented B2B sales success, preferably in healthcare, medical device, or specialty pharmacy environments.
- A consistent year-over-year record of sales performance and growth.
- Experience selling complex healthcare solutions such as infusion therapy, specialty biologics, durable medical equipment, or home clinical services.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, field-based role with significant face-to-face engagement.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic selling skills.
- A patient-centered mindset focused on long-term provider partnerships.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds, with reasonable accommodations available.
- Participate annually in required legal and ethical compliance training and consistently follow the organization's compliance policies, manual, standards, and procedures.
- Prioritize competing demands, manage multiple tasks effectively, and seek guidance when appropriate.
- Own and execute a territory strategy targeting prescribers, infusion centers, specialty clinics, and hospital systems.
- Build and maintain referral partnerships with physicians, advanced practice providers, case managers, and discharge planners.
- Educate providers on the organization's specialty and home infusion offerings, including immunoglobulin home-based and suite-based care.
- Communicate the organization's support model, including insurance reimbursement support, patient onboarding, and care coordination.
- Collaborate with internal clinical, intake, and operations teams to support chronic and complex patient cases.
- Manage pipeline activity and referral growth using customer relationship management tools, with a focus on quota attainment.
- Maintain consistency, professionalism, and accountability in provider interactions.
- Assist directly or coordinate appropriate assistance to ensure access to services for individuals with disabilities.
- Experience in infusion therapy, specialty biologics, oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, or immunology.
- Knowledge of third-party reimbursement, prior authorizations, and specialty pharmacy workflows.
- Experience working with electronic medical records, customer relationship management platforms, and care coordination teams.
- Prior success launching or expanding a territory or supporting a growth-phase organization.
