About the company

Farcast builds satellite internet hardware by developing advanced user terminals that connect end users to satellites. The terminals provide reliable, high-speed connectivity for homes, businesses, and moving platforms such as cars, planes, and ships. The terminals act as the last-mile interface, converting user data into signals the satellite network can route and vice versa to use the full capacity of existing satellite systems. The goal is to expand access to satellite broadband by delivering capable terminals that improve performance and support adoption in remote and mobile use cases.

What believers are saying

  • Telesat’s September 2, 2026 milestone advances Lightspeed terminal integration toward production.
  • Gogo’s December 8, 2025 investment opens retrofit demand across business aviation fleets.
  • Farcast says production ramps in 2026 and secured $23.6 million funding by December 2025.

What critics are saying

  • Farcast still targets 2027 manufacturing, leaving 2026 execution failure to destroy momentum.
  • Telesat and Gogo concentration ties revenue to two customers and their procurement timing.
  • Hughes, Kymeta, and ThinKom can outspend Farcast before commercial scale arrives.

What makes Farcast unique

  • Farcast’s September 2, 2026 Telesat demo validated shared-aperture ESA connectivity.
  • Farcast’s full-duplex flat-panel antenna cuts SWaP-C for aircraft, military, and mobility.
  • Farcast’s 2025 partnerships with Gogo, Telesat, and Lockheed Martin validate demand.

Gogo invests in Farcast to develop compact aviation terminals with flat panel antenna technology entering production in 2026

Gogo has made a strategic equity investment in Farcast to develop advanced aviation user terminals for improved cabin connectivity. The partnership will leverage Farcast's full-duplex flat panel antenna technology to reduce size, weight, power and cost whilst increasing bandwidth. The technology will enable Gogo to install compact terminals on existing aircraft, expanding connectivity across more aircraft categories. Farcast has secured $23.6 million in funding to mature its technology and plans to enter production in 2026, with full-scale manufacturing scheduled for 2027. The investment addresses growing demand for efficient connectivity solutions in aviation, benefiting both passengers and crew whilst strengthening Gogo's competitive position in the market.
