  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may substitute.
  • Strong knowledge of automation tools, artificial intelligence and machine learning platforms, workflow tools, robotic process automation technology, and data analytics concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executives, operational leaders, and technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of business process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze workflows and identify automation opportunities with measurable outcomes.
  • Expert knowledge of hospital operations.
Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain the Automation and Artificial Intelligence Strategy and Roadmap for Northside Hospital.
  • Identify operational processes suitable for automation, artificial intelligence augmentation, or workflow redesign.
  • Benchmark artificial intelligence opportunities in healthcare to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Partner with departments to transform manual workflows using automation technology.
  • Conduct assessments of automation and artificial intelligence opportunities and recommend prioritized initiatives based on quantifiable value.
  • Sponsor automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reduce cost, and eliminate manual or repetitive tasks.
  • Maintain awareness of current automation and artificial intelligence technologies, trends, and platform capabilities.
  • Mobilize approved initiatives through existing program delivery structures and collaborate with project teams throughout execution.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in automation, artificial intelligence, process engineering, or related technology fields.
  • Certifications in automation platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate; artificial intelligence and machine learning; or process improvement such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional automation initiatives.
  • Project lead or coordination experience.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
