Reservation Agent
About the job
- A qualification in hospitality or tourism is desirable.
- Experience in reservations, front office, or customer relations is appreciated.
- Experience in a four- or five-star hotel is a plus.
- Fluency in French and English is required.
- Knowledge of office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
- Knowledge of a hotel property management system, ideally Opera, is required.
- Understanding of reservation channels, including online travel agencies, corporate, and leisure channels, is required.
- Strong customer service orientation is required.
- Oral and written communication skills are required.
- Organization, rigor, and attention to detail are required.
- Ability to work in a team is required.
- Dynamism, responsiveness, and commercial aptitude are required.
- A polished presentation, politeness, and professionalism are required.
- Process reservation requests by telephone, email, and other channels.
- Enter and modify reservations in the property management system, such as Opera.
- Verify the accuracy of reservation information, including rates, segments, guest profiles, and conditions.
- Follow up rigorously on guest files.
- Respond to inquiries about hotel services.
- Present current offers and promotions.
- Follow pricing strategies communicated by Revenue Management.
- Contribute to optimizing the conversion rate.
- Provide a professional and welcoming experience in every interaction.
- Deliver service in accordance with Sofitel standards.
- Handle specific guest requests, including VIP requests, preferences, and special occasions.
- Handle simple complaints and escalate them to the supervisor.
- Communicate important information to other departments.
- Ensure effective handover of instructions between shifts.
- Participate in briefings and team meetings.
- Maintain a professional and polished appearance.
- Follow internal procedures and quality standards.
- Protect the confidentiality of guest data.
