Product Manager - IoT Platform
About the job
- Three to five years of experience with end-to-end ownership of complex software or platform products, from problem definition through implementation and further development.
- Comfort with backend, cloud, and systems architecture topics and the ability to discuss technical trade-offs substantively with engineers.
- Ability to bring cross-functional teams together and make product decisions using data, monitoring, and user feedback.
- Fluent English at C1 or higher level.
- Own a strategically important part of the IoT platform end to end, from identifying problems and needs through prioritization, implementation, and continuous development.
- Develop and manage the product strategy for operational tools covering configuration, rollout, monitoring, and fleet management.
- Understand the challenges and needs of internal operations users and translate them into scalable product improvements.
- Own event-driven services such as parking-occupancy capture and other platform-based functions derived from device data.
- Ensure that platform logic is reliable, transparently monitorable, and scalable for increasingly complex and business-critical use cases.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and align across Operations, Product, and Leadership to balance technical constraints, user needs, and business priorities.
- Experience with platforms, software as a service, infrastructure, operational systems, Internet of Things, or hardware-adjacent environments, including internal tools.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of Kafka and MQTT.
- German language skills.
