Requirements
  • Availability to work daytime, evening, and weekend shifts.
  • Willingness to work up to 15 hours per week.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and reach.
  • Ability to work with people of different age groups and build positive relationships with members.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to instruct badminton players in the basics of the game, strategy, shot selection, and court awareness.
  • Strong knowledge of badminton rules and regulations.
  • Must be a United States citizen and live in the Chicago area.
Responsibilities
  • Teach private and group lessons to beginner through advanced players.
  • Assist with organized open play throughout the week and ensure fair playing time for all participants.
  • Run year-round programs that help players develop their skills and knowledge of badminton.
  • Help organize and officiate tournaments and mixers throughout the year.
  • Assist the membership team with growing the badminton community at the club.
Desired Qualifications
  • Obtain badminton coaching certification through the International Badminton Federation within six months of being hired.
