Perceptive Discovery becomes first US provider of astatine-211 studies, with UK site

Perceptive Discovery has become the first US provider able to run astatine-211 (At-211) radiopharmaceutical studies, the company announced on October 16, 2026. The studies are available at its US and UK sites, building on a collaboration with Atley Solutions. At its Queen Mary University of London laboratory, the first Atley C100 module has been installed and used to purify At-211 from an irradiated bismuth-209 target. A second module is expected at the Needham, Massachusetts facility later this month. In the US, At-211 in solution is available from multiple sources, so studies can begin immediately. "The ability to execute At-211 studies across our UK and US operations represents an important expansion," said chief executive officer Ben Murphy. The company is now accepting inquiries.

Perceptive Discovery partners with MH3D to launch α-Sight™ for alpha radiopharmaceutical imaging

Perceptive Discovery has partnered with MH3D to launch α-Sight™, a preclinical imaging service for visualising alpha-emitting radiopharmaceuticals. The offering addresses imaging limitations in alpha-emitting therapies, which are increasingly used in oncology, by providing high-sensitivity, quantitative whole-body imaging. α-Sight™ combines MH3D's Alpha-SPECT™ Mini platform with Perceptive Discovery's expertise in preclinical imaging and radiochemistry. The service supports multi-isotope imaging for therapies using Actinium-225 and Astatine-211, integrated with VivoQuant™ for advanced analysis. Perceptive Discovery will serve as MH3D's exclusive service provider whilst collaborating on product enhancements. The platform supports biodistribution studies, tumour targeting validation and pharmacokinetic assessment to accelerate radioligand therapy development.

Perceptive Discovery secures $15M to expand radiochemistry and cell assay capabilities

Perceptive Discovery, the preclinical services division of Perceptive, has announced $15 million in strategic investments from shareholder CapVest Partners to expand its radiochemistry, cell assay and in vitro biology capabilities. The funding will support development services for oncology and radiopharmaceutical programmes from discovery through early clinical translation. The investment will significantly expand Perceptive Discovery's Astatine-211 infrastructure globally across two sites in the US and UK. The new facilities will feature specialised research environments and dedicated scientific personnel to support At-211 labelling, method development and preclinical applications. The investment underscores CapVest's confidence in Perceptive Discovery's business potential and reinforces the company's commitment to delivering integrated, high-quality preclinical workflows for drug development programmes.
