Machine Operator - Weekend Shift
About the job
- At least 1 year of experience operating machining equipment in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Working experience with problem solving, machine setup, visual quality assurance, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, blueprint reading, quality inspection metrology tools, accuracy and attention to detail, and data entry.
- Basic knowledge of information processing, handwriting, and mathematical ability.
- Ability to remain stationary frequently, move around the building occasionally, move equipment occasionally, position oneself around equipment occasionally, and repeatedly handle, adjust, inspect, and position items and equipment.
- Ability to distinguish writing and defects and communicate and exchange information with others.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States through E-Verify.
- Perform basic machining functions to produce parts.
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
- Monitor machines to ensure proper program performance.
- Complete shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
- Make offsets and machine adjustments with moderate supervision.
- Set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, and computer numerical control machines to fabricate metallic parts.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on mills, lathes, grinders, and tooling presetters.
- Load programs into computer numerical control machines and execute programs to accurately machine parts to customer specifications.
- Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make offsets and adjustments.
- Grind and buff parts.
- Check parts on a coordinate measuring machine.
- Verify finished workpieces conform to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening if required by the position.
- Experience with lean manufacturing.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing.
- Machining trade school training.

The combined company will operate under the Tecomet name, with Andreas Weller serving as CEO. The merged entity operates 24 manufacturing locations across multiple countries, offering capabilities including precision machining, additive manufacturing, forging, casting and advanced finishing.
