About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience are required.
- Leadership experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and team management is required.
- Experience implementing and refining accounting systems and controls is required.
- Deep knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and accounting best practices is required.
- Advanced Excel and financial enterprise resource planning system proficiency are required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Ensure timely and accurate closing processes.
- Manage tax compliance and reporting obligations.
- Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls.
- Coordinate external audits and support audit requests.
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles.
- Analyze financial results, variances, trends, and key performance indicators.
- Provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
- Promote process improvements and training to elevate team performance.
- Collaborate with senior executives on financial planning, long-term strategy, and operational efficiency.
- Support strategic initiatives with financial analysis and modeling.
- A Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant credential is strongly preferred.
- A master's degree or advanced coursework is a plus.
