About the job
- Three to five years of professional auto body prepping and painting experience in a collision repair environment.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
- Proficiency in surface preparation, including sanding, feather-edging, block sanding, masking, and priming.
- Hands-on experience mixing, colour-matching, blending, and spraying basecoats and clearcoats.
- Expertise in post-paint detail work, including wet sanding, buffing, and eliminating paint defects.
- Competence in operating and maintaining spray guns, dual-action sanders, air systems, and paint spray booths.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and bend and kneel comfortably.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and wear full personal protective equipment, including air-supplied respirators.
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, priming, and prepping body panels and replacement parts for paint adhesion and finish quality.
- Use computerized paint-matching systems to mix, tint, and blend solvent or waterborne paints according to original equipment manufacturer factory specifications.
- Apply primers, basecoats, and clearcoats in a spray booth using proper spraying techniques and curing times.
- Perform post-paint inspections, colour sanding, buffing, and polishing to remove imperfections and meet quality-assurance standards.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain spray guns, ventilation systems, and paint booth filters.
- Work with body technicians, estimators, and management to track vehicle repair stages, meet production schedules, and optimize shop workflow.
- Maintain a clean workspace and follow health, safety, and hazardous-material disposal protocols, including proper personal protective equipment and respirator use.

Repairer retires: celebrating Guy Denis' 48-year career. April 10, 2026 A veteran collision repair professional is retiring after 48 years in the trade. Guy Denis, a long-serving technician and team fixture at CSN Turpin Capital Collision, officially retired this week after 48 years working at the facility. Co-owner Danny Frangione framed the departure as both a professional loss and a moment of personal joy, noting that Guy had spent his final stretch at the facility preparing the next generation. "He was incredible - someone you build a team around," Frangione said. "His retirement is a big loss to the shop, but he did his due diligence and trained up his replacement. You could not ask for a better colleague." His colleagues marked the milestone with a series of celebrations that underscored the depth of his relationships across the business. A dinner with his spouse and close co-workers took place two weeks before his final shift. This was followed by a larger gathering on his last day that drew several former colleagues back into the shop. Denis, in turn, distributed gifts and personalized notes to many of the guests. The send-off extended beyond the immediate location to the broader organization. In a social media post, the shop and its parent group, Bemac Collision Group, highlighted both tenure and temperament. "What a day to celebrate him with all of my team and his family. Congrats Guy on your retirement. CSN Turpin Capital Collision and the entire Bemac Collision Group will miss you and wish you the best." CSN Collision, a collision repair network with over 400 locations in North America and Europe, has sold its founder-owned facilities to ONCAP, the private equity arm of Onex Corporation. The founders will retain a stake in the company. The financial terms were not disclosed. This deal provides CSN Collision with capital to acquire more repair facilities while maintaining its network of independently owned centers.
