Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business, human services, gerontology, or a related field is required.
  • At least five years of experience in retirement housing, hospitality, or healthcare management in a leadership role, preferably in a business office, operations, or human resources capacity.
  • A successful history of building sales and meeting financial goals.
  • Knowledge of various computer systems, including customer relationship management, applicant tracking systems, human resources information systems, and computer applications is preferred.
  • The ability to participate in on-call and weekend rotation is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Director with planning, implementing, and evaluating all operations.
  • Manage the community's day-to-day operations, including profit-and-loss responsibility and serving as the community's sales leader and human resources point of contact.
  • Assist with all operations and act as a point of contact for staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public.
  • Provide direct oversight of front desk staff, including training, supervision, and staff development.
  • Support recruiting efforts across all departments and create and maintain a highly functioning team environment.
  • Oversee hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and termination of employee employment, with attention to consistency in the selection and retention of quality personnel.
  • Lead new-hire onboarding initiatives.
  • Provide leadership for staff and residents and proactively solve problems and issues.
  • Assist in maintaining buildings, grounds, and property through oversight of preventative maintenance systems and programs and frequent inspections.
  • Foster creativity among staff to deliver high-quality services to residents economically.
  • Maintain a high degree of resident satisfaction through consistently delivering high-quality services.
  • Ensure resident records and charting are current and up to date.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with residents, resident family members, employees, and the business community.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations and help create a safe working and living environment.
  • Understand the community's care regulations and support the resident care program.
  • Execute the renewal-retention program with existing residents.
  • Assist with managing the community's budget and cash flow, maintain accountability, and anticipate and minimize negative budget variances and deficits.
  • Participate in in-house sales activities, including prospective resident tours and special events.
  • Act as the second property contact for corporate staff and maintain positive relationships.
  • Assist with maintaining current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses in accordance with company, federal, state, and local requirements.
