About the company

Vogt Power designs and supplies steam generators that recover heat from gas turbine exhaust, helping power plants produce additional electricity and industrial sites use waste heat. Customers buy engineered equipment and construction support for power-plant installations, then purchase inspections, replacement parts and retrofits to maintain, repair or improve existing units, including equipment made by other manufacturers. Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Vogt supports urgent repairs: replacement parts held in stock are available for immediate shipment on short notice.
  • Vogt's onsite Louisville commissioning engineer role is full-time, advertising $124,800-$191,360 annual base pay; offers vary by qualifications.
  • Full-time inspectors at Vogt's Louisville site advertise $95,000-$110,000 annual base pay for onsite work; final offers depend on qualifications.

What critics are saying

  • Vogt commissioning engineers travel extensively: Louisville's full-time onsite role involves approximately 90% road time and occasional back-to-back assignments.
  • Vogt inspectors face confined access: Louisville employees in this full-time onsite role enter openings as small as 12-by-16 inches.
  • At Vogt, full-time onsite Louisville assistant project managers need 3+ years designing/supplying custom engineered equipment worth $2 million-plus.

What makes Vogt Power unique

  • Vogt adapts installation methods: modular designs and prefabrication choices account for transport constraints and local labor availability.
  • Vogt's ISO 9001:2015 quality-management certification covers designing, producing, supplying and installing energy technology components.
  • Vogt engineers quieter exhaust systems: noise abatement designs are checked against predicted attenuation through field testing.
