Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Three or more years of field supervisory experience is preferred; equivalent applicable experience in a lower-level role may be substituted.
  • Experience with a major multiple-system operator or telecommunications construction operations is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency with a Windows operating system is required.
  • Intermediate or higher proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel, is required.
  • Proficiency with Adobe products is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical to obtain and maintain a Department of Transportation Health Card may be required.
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed to meet client needs.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate telecommunications construction crew activities under the direction of the Construction Manager or Project Manager.
  • Support project timelines, conduct inspections, and design and provide accurate as-builts for projects.
  • Supervise and schedule multiple projects and objectives simultaneously.
  • Serve as the point of contact between managers, in-house crews, subcontractors, municipalities, and the client.
  • Assist managers with drafting and issuing project proposals, requests for proposals, and preliminary schedules.
  • Complete required daily and recurring paperwork and reporting for project initiatives and objectives.
  • Work with external contractors and internal resources as required.
  • Track and report initiative and objective progress on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Communicate initiative and objective status, quality, and projected client timelines to completion as required.
  • Supervise statements of work and client and internal change orders.
  • Apply billing and accounting procedures and provide daily, weekly, and monthly billing.
  • Ensure timely completion of required deliverables.
  • Oversee maintenance of company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Oversee loss prevention for materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure and approve daily time reporting for direct reports.
  • Provide semiannual and annual performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Ensure employees follow established company safety and health guidelines.
  • Perform work according to established company safety and health guidelines.
  • Maintain frequent verbal and face-to-face contact with others.
  • Use computers and general office equipment in the field and office environment.
