Senior Filing Specialist - Workers' Compensation
About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in a legal, insurance, or workers’ compensation environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with case management software is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail are required.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting is required.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive, team-oriented work ethic are required.
- Prepare and organize workers’ compensation case files for filing.
- Accurately enter and update data in the case management system.
- Perform administrative tasks related to pre-filing case preparation.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and filing requirements.
- Conduct workers’ compensation coverage searches.
- Communicate with attorneys and support staff to obtain missing or incomplete case information.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date filing records, both physical and electronic.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by supervising attorneys.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
