- Minimum ten (10) years of intelligence analysis, financial investigations, criminal intelligence, law enforcement intelligence, or national security experience.

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, National Security Studies, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Lead complex analytical efforts supporting the FBI Homeland Security Task Force National Coordination Center.
- Provide advanced intelligence analysis, financial intelligence support, criminal enterprise analysis, data fusion, cryptocurrency investigations, and strategic reporting capabilities in support of federal law enforcement and national security missions.
- Directly support efforts to identify, disrupt, dismantle, and prosecute transnational criminal organizations, cartel networks, human trafficking organizations, money laundering enterprises, foreign terrorist organizations, and other high-priority threats.
- Apply advanced analytic methodologies and investigative techniques to integrate and evaluate information from multiple law enforcement, intelligence, commercial, financial, and open-source data sources.
- Develop actionable intelligence, identify critical links between criminal and financial networks, and produce strategic intelligence products that support investigative operations, asset seizure efforts, and executive decision-making.
- Serve as a technical leader and mentor to junior analysts while helping develop innovative approaches to intelligence exploitation, financial investigations, and predictive analysis.
- Routinely support multi-agency investigations through the exploitation of large-scale datasets, advanced link analysis, cryptocurrency tracing, network mapping, intelligence fusion, and strategic assessments.
- Operate independently within highly complex investigative and intelligence environments and provide expert-level analytical support to FBI personnel, HSI, HSTF leadership, and partner agency stakeholders.
- Master's Degree in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, National Security Studies, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
- Former FBI, DEA, HSI, IRS-CI, FinCEN, Treasury, Intelligence Community (IC), military intelligence, or other Federal law enforcement experience preferred.
- Experience supporting: FININT, Money laundering investigations, Cartel investigations, Cryptocurrency and blockchain investigations, Asset identification, seizure, and forfeiture programs, Data fusion environments, Intelligence operations centers, Organized crime investigations, Terrorist financing investigations, Multi-agency intelligence collaboration initiatives.

XLA, a cybersecurity and data management provider serving the US federal government, has appointed James Vant as chief executive officer. Vant previously served as president of eTelligent Group and held senior leadership roles at Octo, an IBM company, where he managed profit and loss responsibilities and led strategic integration efforts. The Vienna, Virginia-based company provides cybersecurity, data analytics, technical solutions and international programme support services to federal agencies. Founded over 30 years ago, XLA has supported missions including homeland security, disaster relief and cybersecurity incidents. Vant succeeds Gary Slack, who is retiring after a decade leading the company. Lloyd Mustin, XLA's chairman and founder, cited Vant's two decades of experience in government services and IT as key qualifications for driving the company's next growth phase.
