HomeLight is a real estate technology platform that helps people buy and sell homes by matching buyers and sellers with top-performing local agents based on past sales data. The product works by users sharing location and needs, after which HomeLight ranks and recommends agents with strong track records, and it also provides tools like a home affordability calculator, a home search tool, a home value calculator, and connections to lenders (including HomeLight Home Loans in some states). The platform differentiates itself by using data-driven agent selection and offering a bundled set of home-financing and home-information tools in one place, simplifying the process compared to other real estate sites. Its goal is to make buying and selling homes easier by connecting clients with trusted agents and financing options through a lead-generation model that supports agents and lenders.
