Financial Analyst - Commercial Project Manager
About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Three to seven years of experience in financial analysis or commercial project management is required; experience in the energy or industrial sector is preferred.
- Proficiency in SAP Billing and Project modules, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools is required.
- A strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, cost control, and budgeting is required.
- Experience with risk assessment and compliance frameworks, such as Sarbanes-Oxley and export control, is required.
- Serve as the finance and commercial interface with a fast-paced service organization.
- Manage a high volume of service cases and projects monthly from order acceptance through cost tracking, forecasting, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
- Support cost-controlling activities for Controls projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial targets.
- Set up financial projects, including work breakdown structure (WBS), performance planning, and SAP configuration.
- Manage revenue recognition processes by monitoring actual versus planned results, degree of completion, and cost to complete, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Drive financial planning, forecasting, and deviation analysis throughout the service lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure quality, scope alignment, and achievement of financial goals for revenue, margin, selling, general and administrative expenses (SG&A), and cash flow.
- Evaluate and mitigate commercial risks, including tax implications, export regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Oversee invoicing, cash flow management, and accounts receivable.
- Support change management and claims processes to optimize project profitability.
- Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, and Power Automate is a plus.
- Familiarity with energy products, services, and internal processes is desirable.
- A project management certification such as PMI or IPMA is a plus.
