About the job
- A technical Bac+5 degree in energy management or a similar field is required.
- Experience in an Energy Manager or similar position is required.
- Knowledge of ISO 50001 is required.
- Knowledge of energy management, technical building management (GTB), and certifications or labeling is required.
- Good experience with tertiary-sector projects is required.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are required.
- The role requires curiosity, autonomy, teamwork, commitment, and rigor.
- Manage a portfolio of predominantly private-sector tertiary sites.
- Develop, deploy, monitor, and report an energy management system in collaboration with operations managers.
- Monitor tenant comfort and ensure compliance with temperature settings.
- Analyze and optimize energy consumption by proposing corrective and improvement actions.
- Visit assigned sites weekly and maintain regular contact with subcontractors.
- Update technical and energy management tools.
- Prepare energy reporting and manage client relationships concerning comfort, energy, and technical performance.
- Define and monitor consumption commitments through the Measurement and Verification Plan (PMV).
- Participate in preparing clients' Multi-Year Investment Plans (PPI) to support continuous building improvement.
- Track and value financial information related to energy consumption.
- Contribute to annual service-charge reconciliations.
- Lead quarterly activity meetings with tenants, Property Managers, or Asset Managers to present consumption results for their portfolios.
- Conduct technical audits, participate in creating new service offerings, and present offerings to clients alongside the commercial team when assigned.
- An IPMVP, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or equivalent certification is desirable.
