Requirements
  • Leadership or supervisor experience overseeing daily operations, managing relationships, and change management in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • A Registered Nurse license and training and experience in the ambulatory surgery center industry are preferred.
  • Proficiency with selected Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or other database management applications.
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations and education to groups of clinicians and SCAH leaders.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Travel frequently to various locations and provide critical on-site support.
  • Directly support approximately 10–15 SCAH facilities or up to two regions.
  • Conduct routine meetings with regional operations leads to coordinate and communicate clinical-quality initiatives.
  • Present clinical data for regional MORs.
  • Participate in the MAP process at the facility level.
  • Assist with access to NHSN, DPH regulatory reporting platforms, and related resources.
  • Ensure access to and use of the SCT core compli Regulatory & Accreditation support platform.
  • Liaise with SCAH teammates within and outside the group to consult and share resources, policies, tools, and knowledge.
  • Forward new requirements and bills from compliance to facilities.
  • Assist with coordinating activities for facilities adopting the MCN policy platform.
  • Assist with or activate the Apparent Cause Analysis process.
  • Assist with or activate the RCA process, including three meetings, and guide entry and closeout of RCA files.
  • Educate facility leaders on developing strong, sustainable action items to improve patient safety.
  • Review submitted variances for appropriate classification and severity assignment, and follow up with facility leaders to support corrections.
  • Guide state reportability and confirm completion where applicable.
  • Assist with compiling and analyzing safety-event data as needed.
  • Identify events that may require safety alerts or broader system notification and develop safety-alert content.
  • Educate facility CLT on Insight Clinical Dashboards, PRA reports, clinical outcomes, and CQI, and provide reminders and periodic checks.
  • Ensure facility CLT understands annual PI project requirements and provide education when applicable.
  • Review and consult on facility Quality/PI/IC plans.
  • Guide facilities in establishing Quality and IC programs and accessing clinical toolkits.
  • Help facilities access resources, including completed PI projects and educational material on the ten-step process, and provide educational series as applicable.
  • Partner with Regional Quality Leaders to drive regional clinical-quality engagement.
  • Partner in the interview process for new clinical leaders and CEOs.
  • Support DONs and new Clinical Leaders after FLO through regular follow-ups and review of outstanding items.
  • Partner with facility leadership to address safety-culture opportunities and identify action plans for sustainable change.
  • Provide on-site support to help facility CLT navigate process improvement and build teammate buy-in.
  • Answer questions about developing performance improvement plans for clinical teammates.
