Requirements
  • A BA or BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Cyber Security, or an equivalent demonstrated technical background.
  • At least 2 years of experience in infrastructure or application architecture, with hands-on exposure to both on-premise and cloud technology environments.
  • At least 2 years of related experience in consulting or professional services.
  • Foundational working knowledge across the full infrastructure stack, including compute, network, storage, database, and data protection technologies, and experience assessing enterprise environments to identify risks and gaps that could impact the recoverability of critical business services.
  • Experience identifying and mapping dependencies across a technology ecosystem to uncover breaking points that could impact delivery of critical business capabilities.
  • Experience translating technical findings into solution designs that address resilience or recoverability gaps.
  • Ability to engage and facilitate structured discussions with technical client teams to evaluate a technology landscape against recovery requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work and clients and industries or sectors served.
Responsibilities
  • Support the assessment, design, and implementation of technical resilience, business continuity, and operational resilience programs.
  • Analyze client processes, systems, dependencies, and risks to identify resilience gaps and recommend remediation actions.
  • Develop recovery strategies, continuity plans, playbooks, and supporting documentation for critical business and technology functions.
  • Facilitate exercises, testing activities, and stakeholder working sessions to evaluate readiness and improve response capabilities.
  • Create project deliverables, status updates, and client presentations that communicate findings, priorities, and implementation plans.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree.
  • At least 2 years designing cyber resilience strategies and recovery architectures aligned to business recovery objectives, including requirements gathering, tool selection, implementation, testing, and operationalization.
  • Prior experience gathering technical requirements, performing gap and technical analysis, developing technical specifications, and architecting solutions at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of on-premise and cloud strategies, with experience designing, implementing, or managing solutions across at least one major public cloud provider.
  • Prior experience designing and implementing large-scale solutions or leading infrastructure or data center migrations.
  • Application development or software development life cycle experience, with the ability to understand how applications interact with underlying infrastructure and data flows.
  • One or more certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional, Member of the Business Continuity Institute, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, or Certified Information Security Manager.

AI forces companies to rethink hiring practices as job applications surge and entry-level pipelines shrink

Business Insider convened 15 HR and C-suite leaders in Davos to discuss how AI is reshaping hiring and talent pipelines. The roundtable, presented by Indeed, revealed growing concerns about entry-level positions and skills assessment. Deloitte's Elizabeth Faber emphasised maintaining a "human-led, technology-powered" approach whilst carefully navigating reduced junior hiring. TCW's Melissa Stolfi noted her firm has downsized its analyst class but maintains a pyramid structure to preserve apprenticeship culture and future leadership pipelines. Indeed's chief economist Svenja Gudell warned that whilst tech employers now demand five-plus years' experience, this creates future talent shortages if junior hiring continues declining. Salesforce's Nathalie Scardino said her company receives two million applications annually and has shifted focus from years of experience to learning aptitude. Manpower Group's Becky Frankiewicz noted AI can process candidates faster whilst reducing bias, potentially unlocking opportunities beyond traditional qualifications.

Deloitte to hire 50,000 employees in India, eyes Mangaluru expansion

Deloitte plans to hire 50,000 employees in India and is evaluating Mangaluru, Karnataka, as a potential new location, according to South Asia CEO Romal Shetty. The company currently employs 140,000 people in India, representing one in four Deloitte employees globally. Shetty said India hosts 50% of all global capability centres worldwide, with significant growth potential in Tier II and Tier III cities. He proposed creating digital economic zones integrating GCCs, GPU-based data centres, startups and academic institutions to accelerate expansion. The CEO called for streamlining GCC setup processes from six months to two weeks, whilst acknowledging infrastructure constraints around energy and water for data centres. Shetty noted Mangaluru offers advantages including talent availability and real estate, adding the company's presence there is a matter of timing.
