Hinckley acquires Port of Egypt Marine in Southold, New York. Wed, Apr 22, 2026 | 01:30 Hinckley, an American yacht builder and premium marine service provider, has announced the acquisition of Port of Egypt Marine, an 80-year-old family-run marina in Southold, New York. Located in Long Island's North Fork, Port of Egypt Marine serves the wider East End boating community spanning the Hamptons and Shelter Island. The acquisition strengthens Hinckley 's presence in one of the United States' busiest yachting regions, expanding their network of service yards and marinas along the East Coast. The move is part of Hinckley's expanded growth strategy, with its integrated service network currently covering areas from Maine to Florida. Adding the Southold facility boosts the company's ability to offer maintenance, upgrades, refit and technical support in key boating communities across Connecticut and the broader Northeast. "We are honoured to be part of Port of Egypt's next chapter," said Gavin McClintock, CEO of Hinckley. "As we continue to grow our service capabilities, our focus is on marinas where legacy, craftsmanship and care already run deep. Positioned as the new flagship of the Picnic Boat line, the 45 builds on more than three decades of Downeast design, blending traditional styling with a stronger focus on onboard social spaces and modern propulsion. - Advertisement, article continues below - "The Picnic Boat has never been just a yacht; it represents a distinctly Hinckley way of being on the water," said Gavin McClintock.
