Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • August 2026 pages show active hiring across ML, security, infrastructure, and quant research.
  • G-Research still publishes ICML and ICLR reviews, reinforcing technical credibility.
  • The TuringBots rollout suggests faster software delivery and higher internal productivity now.

What critics are saying

  • Sixty-three London openings in September 2026 signal scarce retention and heavy replacement hiring.
  • No visible product revenue diversification leaves dependence on proprietary trading performance.
  • Any alpha decay or regulatory squeeze in global markets can crush returns fast.

What makes G-Research unique

  • G-Research pairs quantitative research with engineering, and runs broad London hiring in 2026.
  • Its 2026 site highlights near-infinite compute, ML, and low-latency systems for finance.
  • Monthly £2,000 grants and Cambridge, Warwick, Imperial, and NeurIPS ties build talent pipelines.
