Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or another medical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • One year of relevant clinical research experience is required.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee clinical research protocols investigating hematology malignancies, primarily in observational studies.
  • Identify and assess patient eligibility for clinical research study participation.
  • Discuss research studies with patients and their family members and obtain informed consent.
  • Assist with data quality control, schedule and conduct monitoring visits, and resolve queries.
  • Screen and recruit participants and collect biospecimens.
  • Assist with Institutional Review Board submissions, modifications, and amendments.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary research team from the Division of Hematology, other Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center personnel, and external partners.
  • Ensure that all necessary data is collected and reported appropriately.
  • Support clinical research team members in developing plans to meet the requirements of new clinical research studies.
  • Participate in writing manuscripts and preparing grant submissions.
  • Research, develop, and create detailed reports and presentations in response to data and reporting requests.
  • Participate in internal and external quality reviews.
  • Analyze, query, interpret, and summarize data; collect and extract data; and ensure and verify data integrity.
  • Generate reports and conduct reviews to ensure data validity.
  • Support compliance with Institutional Review Board, Food and Drug Administration, federal, state, and industry sponsor regulations.
  • Assist with coordinating and preparing for external quality assurance and control reviews by Institutional Review Boards, federal agencies, or industry sponsors.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two to four years of relevant clinical research experience is preferred.
