Requirements
  • The candidate must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field.
  • The candidate must have previous experience in a collegiate athletics and recreation department, preferably in event operations or customer service.
  • The candidate must possess strong oral communication skills and be self-motivated to accomplish tasks independently.
  • The candidate must be able to work nights and weekends.
  • The candidate must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • The candidate must possess a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary or secondary event manager for assigned home athletic and business development events.
  • Manage setup and breakdown for all home athletic competitions and business development events.
  • Provide facility supervision for Franklin Field, the Palestra, Penn Park, River Fields Complex, and the Tse Sports Center.
  • Oversee evening and weekend programming and work-study staff in assigned areas.
  • Perform operations administrative work as assigned by a supervisor.
  • Perform game-management tasks when necessary, including clock and scoreboard operation, public-address announcing, ball running, playing music, and ticket scanning.
  • Perform other assigned duties. .
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a collegiate athletics and recreation department is desired, preferably in event operations or customer service.
