Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
A personal training certification, such as American College of Sports Medicine, National Academy of Sports Medicine, Athletics and Fitness Association of America, or another National Commission for Certifying Agencies-accredited certification, is required.

Responsibilities

Develop and prescribe individual and small-group exercise programs based on physical assessment results and clients' fitness goals.
Maintain records of past and present clients' attendance and payments within the organization's internal systems.
Conduct fitness assessments and consultations to understand clients' goals, fitness levels, and health considerations.
Motivate and inspire clients to maintain consistent training routines and stay committed to their fitness goals.
Inform clients and members about the safe and proper use of equipment to prevent injuries.
Manage clients' physical assessments, exercise programs, and nutrition to help them achieve their health and fitness goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.

The Personal Trainer manages their client's physical assessments, exercise programs, and nutrition to achieve their health and fitness goals. Working under close supervision for routine situations, this role is critical for driving clients' motivation and inspiration to follow their fitness plan.

Essential Job Function:

Education:

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
