Requirements
  • At least one year of certified registered nurse anesthetist experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and possession of the legal requirements to practice as a registered nurse, as determined by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Graduation from an anesthesia school accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs and certification by the Council for Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Knowledge and abilities essential to successfully perform the assigned duties.
  • Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and obstetrical procedures in an operating room, or diagnostic or therapeutic procedures outside the operating room, under the medical direction and billing collaboration of a faculty member of the Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Care at UCSF Medical Center.
