About the Job

Requirements

  • A completed Master's or Diplom degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field is required.
  • At least five years of experience in industrial process or equipment engineering is required; cleanroom experience is desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of specifying and introducing process equipment into regular production and optimizing process equipment is required.
  • Knowledge of equipment design, process design, and technical standardization is required.
  • The ability to make and defend technical decisions at a strategic level is required.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external partners in German and English is required.
  • The ability to analyze technical data and use evaluation methods confidently is required.

Responsibilities

  • Take technical responsibility for the design, introduction, and standardization of production equipment, ensuring high equipment availability while complying with legal requirements and internal standards.
  • Develop concepts for capacity expansion and process improvement, and assess process and equipment risks during the concept phase.
  • Evaluate new technologies, equipment concepts, and automation solutions for cost-effectiveness, reliability, and scalability.
  • Provide technical leadership to interdisciplinary teams on capital expenditure, technology, and equipment projects.
  • Evaluate defined key performance indicators for performance monitoring, ensure they are met, and define and maintain process windows, target parameters, and internal guidelines.
  • Coordinate and monitor external contractors during ongoing operations, working closely with adjacent departments, particularly environmental health and safety, production, and maintenance.
  • Develop standards for spare-parts strategies, reliability engineering, and lifecycle management.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or total productive maintenance is an advantage.
