WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will collaborate with product leaders, technical leaders, architects in various functions, and engineers while helping to build an effective team and partnership with stakeholders. Additionally, you’ll partner with vendor partners contingent workforce to ensure delivery and positive results
- Collaborate with Product leaders to understand requirements to define scope and estimate level of effort.
- Ensure that Engineers on the team have the full context and understanding of customers and business requirements to create valuable solutions.
- Help build an effective team and partnership with stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the Engineering team, managing work and delivering high performing solutions.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Seeking an experienced MFT Software Engineer to join our team. As an MFT Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our managed file transfer systems, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange between internal and external partners.
We are open to candidates in the following locations: Atlanta, Beaverton, Boston
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education,
- experience or training
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on MFT solutions
- Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, C# or PowerShell
- Experience with MFT platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling, Awxay, Fusion)
- Experience in building SOAP and REST based services using Oracle SOA / OSB
- Knowledge of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2) and APIs
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Comfortable working with globally distributed and diverse teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Your primary role on the team will be to help multiple squads navigate technical design and implementation strategies. You will innovate, deliver high quality code, share best practices and make critical technical design choices. You will help coach the team to innovate, design, build, test, deploy and maintain sustainable technology.
- Design, develop, test and implement MFT solutions using industry-leading technologies (e.g., IBM Sterling, Globalscape, Biscom)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS) and APIs for integration with internal applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to file transfers, system integrations and data integrity
- Implement automation scripts using languages like Python or PowerShell
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the development team’s skills and knowledge
- Participate in on-call rotations for production support
