Requirements
  • At least one year of experience in a service operations or service desk role in an enterprise or SaaS environment.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with peers, business partners, customers, and senior leaders.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows 11 and macOS in an enterprise environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint compliance, and multifactor authentication.
  • Basic ability to use PowerShell or another scripting language for troubleshooting and administrative automation.
  • Understanding of endpoint-security fundamentals, including encryption, patching, antivirus or endpoint detection and response, and secure configuration.
  • Proficiency troubleshooting networking and connectivity, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, routing, VPN, and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office, Microsoft Edge, Chrome, and other third-party or in-house applications.
  • Experience installing and configuring desktop equipment and peripheral devices.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and access-management operations.
  • Ability to learn new skills, prioritize competing requests, and execute multiple tasks with consistent follow-through.
  • Understanding of service desk operations, including incident, problem, change, and request processes and ITIL concepts.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve corporate user service desk tickets in a timely manner while maintaining appropriate documentation and service levels.
  • Investigate and resolve desktop operating-system, application, and connectivity issues for Windows and Mac users.
  • Provision and support laptop computers using Microsoft Intune and Jamf, including installation and configuration of peripherals.
  • Provision and maintain user accounts in systems including Okta, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 in accordance with approvals and security standards.
  • Support Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams, Exchange, and SharePoint, and other corporate systems.
  • Support Microsoft Entra ID, multifactor authentication, conditional access, device-compliance policies, and endpoint-security controls.
  • Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues involving VPN and Wi-Fi.
  • Support printers, copiers, scanners, conference-room audiovisual systems, projectors, and other office technology.
  • Document existing and new processes and systems in accordance with corporate standards.
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately and communicate status, impact, and next steps to users and partner teams.
  • Look for opportunities to streamline and automate support processes and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Use PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, or approved automation tools to streamline provisioning, troubleshooting, software deployment, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate asset, configuration, and user records.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with ServiceNow in an IT service-management or service-operations role.
  • Experience with healthcare industry HIPAA regulations; experience in similar regulated industries such as PCI and SOX is also considered.
  • Familiarity with Okta, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Entra ID, Jamf, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), Jamf Certified Associate - Jamf Pro, Apple Device Support, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or ITIL Foundation.

Disney sells 50% A+E Global Media stake to Hearst for over $1B

Disney is selling its 50% stake in A+E Global Media to joint venture partner Hearst Communications in an all-cash deal worth over $1 billion, according to reports. The transaction is expected to be announced at Disney's earnings call next week. A+E Global Media owns cable networks A&E, History, Lifetime, and FYI, as well as A+E Studios. Disney and Hearst launched a sale process last year through Wells Fargo. Whilst profitable and debt-free, A+E Global has faced declining linear viewership like other cable networks. The company has adapted through early adoption of FAST channels and owns much of its content library. A+E Global Media President and Chairman Paul Buccieri will continue leading the company. This marks Disney's first major move to reduce its traditional television footprint.

Chptr raises $5.5M to distribute hyperlocal stories across TV, radio and digital in under 24 hours

Tribute Technology participated, alongside strategic partnerships with iHeartMedia, Sinclair and Hearst. The New York-based startup delivers time-sensitive local content across television, radio and digital platforms within 24 hours. Chptr is now live in 132 US television markets and has delivered thousands of localised broadcasts. Starting with end-of-life memorial content sourced from funeral homes, the company uses human-reviewed AI for formatting and production whilst maintaining data privacy. Founded in 2020, Chptr will use the funding to expand into remaining US markets, deepen broadcast integrations and develop additional time-sensitive content categories beyond memorials.
