- A valid Dental Hygiene license in Pennsylvania is required.
- Pediatric experience or a genuine passion for working with children is required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
- The ability to communicate and interact effectively with young patients and their families is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Perform routine dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
- Take and interpret digital X-rays as required.
- Educate children and their parents on oral hygiene practices and cavity prevention.
- Assist with dental sealant application and other preventive treatments.
- Build trusting relationships with young patients to reduce dental anxiety.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment while adhering to OSHA and HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Certification to administer local anesthesia in Pennsylvania is preferred but not required.
