  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in the commercial insurance field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs.
  • High-level organization, time management, multitasking, and professional standards.
  • Exceptional writing and editing ability with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel 20,000 auto miles with 21 overnight stays annually to attend in-person meetings.
  • A property and casualty insurance license; an Accident and Health license is a plus.
  • Experience creating detailed coverage comparisons and summary of coverage displays.
  • Confidence with public speaking on insurance coverage and services concepts.
Responsibilities
  • Work remotely in the Denver area as part of the property and casualty insurance program team serving public entities across Colorado.
  • Provide education and support to members and brokers regarding program coverages, competitive advantages, and risk management services.
  • Participate in in-person meetings with members, brokers, and prospects and attend local and national industry conferences.
  • Assist current members with the renewal process and prospects with the application process.
  • Participate in regional seminars, workshops, and conferences.
  • Communicate promptly with association, membership, and other Pool administrators.
  • Provide management reports and analysis to association, members, and other Pool administrators.
  • Participate in the annual educational strategic planning seminar.
  • Explain Pool philosophy, coverage, programs, and services to brokers.
  • Review and explain coverage concepts and risk management programs to district board members, managers, and staff.
  • Assist members with online renewal values and exposures.
  • Communicate long-term risk partnership solutions.
  • Deliver timely automated stewardship reports to 200 members annually with the team.
  • Visit 40 members annually to understand their operations, review exposures, and recommend risk management services.
  • Identify members receiving competitor quotes and explain the value of coverage and value-added loss control services.
  • Meet with 12 prospective members annually to present coverage and loss control benefits of an Alternate Risk Financing Pool and educate them on joining.
  • Discuss loss prevention needs with members and coordinate services with safety consultant teammates.
  • Facilitate Enterprise Risk Management implementation and discussions with members.
  • Review risk evaluations with members.
  • Help members understand and use available risk management programs and services.
  • Assist the Claims Advocacy Manager and P&L Operations Director with coverage-related questions on third-party administrator claims when solicited.
  • Advocate for brokers and members on coverage matters.
  • Update coverage documents with team members to maintain the Pool's terms, conditions, and exclusions.
  • Develop membership communication strategies to build member loyalty.
  • Compile newsletter articles supporting the Pool's mission.
  • Identify members who champion the program and help promote their stories to the membership.
  • Identify criteria to improve membership cross-selling and purchases of increased limits.
  • Attend members' association conferences to demonstrate support for represented entity types.
  • Prepare and present detailed coverage comparisons for prospect proposals.
  • Contribute appropriate content to company websites.
  • Review marketing materials periodically for content, navigation, appearance, and usability.
Desired Qualifications
  • Industry-specific designations such as Chartered Insurance Counselor, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Risk Management, or Certified Risk Manager.
  • Familiarity with public entity operations.
  • Sales experience.
  • An Accident and Health insurance license.
