  • A degree from an American Physical Therapy Association-accredited program is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a health care setting performing similar work activities is preferred.
  • A New Hampshire physical therapist license issued by the Office of Licensed Allied Health Professionals is required.
  • Basic Life Support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification are required.
  • Basic typing skills and documentation using a laptop computer are required.
  • A valid driver's license is required for travel throughout southern New Hampshire.
  • Proof of automobile insurance meeting minimum coverage requirements is required.
  • Participation in a rotating weekend commitment is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide professional physical therapy services to clients and patients of all ages and their families, including basic to complex and rapidly changing needs.
  • Plan, develop, and implement appropriate physical therapy care plans.
  • Regularly reevaluate care plans and the appropriateness of physicians' orders, and update them as needed.
  • Communicate appropriate information to patients, physicians, peers, managers, departments, and other involved agencies.
  • Apply problem-solving methodology and quality improvement to resolve patient-care and organizational-process problems.
  • Orient and supervise physical therapist assistants according to New Hampshire state guidelines and Visiting Nurse Association policy.
