About the job
- Experience with a floor machine is preferred but not necessary.
- Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork, as well as windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empty wastebaskets and empty and clean ashtrays.
- Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
- Replenish bathroom supplies.
- Maintain outside grounds and parking areas, including picking up litter and keeping walkways and driveways free of debris.
- Deliver messages and transport small equipment or tools between departments.
- Assist housekeeping staff with heavy cleaning or moving items.
- Pick up soiled linen and trash from housekeepers' carts.
- Tow rolling trash bins to be emptied and compacted.
- Shampoo carpets and scrub floors using a rotary machine or extractor.
- Experience using a floor machine.
