ESEO alumni in the spotlight - september 2026.

ESEO alumni in the spotlight - september 2026. 31/08/2026 This month's alumni spotlight celebrates ESEO graduates reaching new milestones in entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation. From M&A and circular industry to nuclear fusion and data governance, these four profiles illustrate the remarkable variety of paths an engineering degree can open. Whether scaling a startup, stepping into a strategic role, or developing breakthrough technologies, they continue to push their careers - and their industries - forward. Florian LEGINY (ESEO 2017) has been promoted to M&A Director at Largillière Finance, a leading advisory firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions for growth companies. Having joined the firm nearly ten years ago as a Junior Analyst, Florian has played a key role in more than forty transactions, supporting entrepreneurs and investors in their strategic development projects. His promotion reflects both his expertise in M&A and Largillière Finance's commitment to developing talent from within. It also marks an important milestone in a career built on dedication, client trust, and a strong entrepreneurial mindset. Maxime ROUX (ESEO 2015), co-founder of Ostrea, has been shortlisted for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2026 - Western France award. Founded in 2022, Ostrea is an industrial startup pioneering circular economy solutions by transforming oyster, mussel, and scallop shells into low-carbon materials for design and construction. Using a patented technology, the company produces sustainable materials made from more than 60% recycled shells, offering an innovative alternative to ceramics and stone. Already adopted in over 450 projects by organizations such as AXA, the Élysée, and Christian Louboutin, Ostrea continues to demonstrate how industrial innovation can drive environmental transition. Sam GUILAUME (ESEO 1990), CEO of Renaissance Fusion, recently saw his company featured in Challenges magazine's special report on the "Future Unicorns 2026", highlighting Europe's most promising deeptech companies. The article recognizes Renaissance Fusion as one of the startups poised to transform the energy sector through nuclear fusion technology. The company was also singled out by Challenges with a special distinction for its groundbreaking work in stellarator-based fusion reactors. With a team of 120 employees representing 27 nationalities, Renaissance Fusion aims to commercialize its first reactors by 2035, while already developing complementary innovations in liquid metals and high-temperature superconductors. This recognition reinforces Sam's position at the forefront of Europe's deeptech and clean energy ecosystem. Olivia KAZAN PHAN (ESEO 2018) has been appointed Head of Data Governance at Chanel, after previously serving as Head of Data & AI Culture at Kering. This new role marks another major milestone in a career dedicated to data strategy and transformation within leading international companies. After starting as a Data Architect, Olivia has held key data positions at Carrefour, Danone, Sephora, and Kering. Her move to Chanel places her at the heart of data governance for one of the world's most iconic luxury houses, reflecting the growing strategic importance of data and AI in the industry. ESEO is incredibly proud of these alumni and their great accomplishments. From finance and luxury to sustainable materials and deeptech energy, these alumni show just how diverse the ESEO community can be. Their latest achievements reflect ambition, expertise, and a willingness to take on increasingly strategic challenges. Different sectors, different journeys, but the same drive to innovate, grow, and make an impact. Partager sur

The Tiffany Timer, now in a titanium and platinum combination.

The Tiffany Timer, now in a titanium and platinum combination. A new, more classic version of Tiffany's El Primero-powered chronograph. While Tiffany is mostly known for its emblematic blue colour and its high-end jewellery, the NYC-based brand has been involved in watchmaking for much longer than most would expect. For instance, Tiffany introduced its first chronograph, back then a pocket watch, of course, back in 1866. Earlier this year, to celebrate the 160th anniversary of this milestone and to show its growing dedication to watches, Tiffany released a first, bold limited edition of the Timer chronograph watch, a 60-piece release featuring a platinum case, a Tiffany Blue dial with diamond markers and a customised El Primero inside. The Tiffany Timer now comes back in a lighter, more traditional version pairing titanium and platinum with a classic navy blue dial - but the Tiffany Blue accents have not been forgotten. As explained by Xavier in its article covering the previous Tiffany Blue edition, since the New York-based jeweller was acquired by LVMH, there is a clear desire to up the game in terms of watchmaking. Led by Nicolas Beau, former Global Head of Horlogerie at Chanel, who now serves as Tiffany's VP of Horlogerie, the division has worked on looking at a watchmaking past that's far richer than many imagine, but also on infusing the brand's jewellery expertise into a distinctive collection of watches. And if many of these creations are high-end, gemset models, the Tiffany Timer is something quite different: a sporty chronograph with high-frequency automatic movement. The first edition paired a platinum case with a bold dial in signature Tiffany Blue, with the hour markers replaced by baguette diamonds. The second version of the Tiffany Timer is more conventional (in a good way), lighter and more accessible too. First and foremost, if the design remains the same, the materials and finishes have changed. The case is now made mostly of grade 5 titanium, with satin-brushed surfaces, resulting in a sportier look and better comfort on the wrist. But it has a bi-material construction, with a bezel made of polished 950 platinum. This 40mm chronograph, with a reasonable 13mm thickness, features several distinctive elements, such as a crown that recreates the form of the six-pronged Tiffany solitaire ring setting, elongated and curved oversized chronograph pushers that almost act as crown guards and thin curved lugs that give the watch a softer appeal. Water resistance is rated at 100m, pleasant for a chronograph. The other evolution for this new limited edition of the Tiffany Timer is the dial. Instead of a full Tiffany Blue lacquered dial with diamonds, it brings a more restrained look, with a sunray-brushed navy blue base. As you'd expect, the brand's emblematic colour has not been forgotten and can be found as accents on the chronograph sub-dial rings, the outer scale and the date disc. Finally, this titanium/platinum edition relies on classic polished applied markers and hands that are made of white gold. No surprises inside that case, as Tiffany benefits from synergies within the LVMH Group, sourcing its movement from Zenith. Based on the iconic El Primero 400, the tri-compax and traditional version of this high-frequency automatic chronograph movement, it is made special by the use of an oscillating weight featuring a hand-sculpted yellow gold "bird on a rock", a nod to one of the brand's iconic design features created in the 1960's by Jean Schlumberger. The specifications of the movement are known: 5Hz frequency, column wheel and horizontal clutch architecture, 50 hours of power reserve. Worn on a navy blue alligator strap with a triple folding clasp in steel and titanium, the new bi-material version of the Tiffany Timer Chronograph is released as a limited edition of 100 pieces. It is priced at USD 28,000. For more details, please visit tiffany.com. Technical specifications - Tiffany Timer Chronograph titanium and platinum limited edition. Designer Matthieu Blazy has helped make Chanel the most popular brand on the RealReal.

Designer Matthieu Blazy has helped make Chanel the most popular brand on the RealReal. Consumers are clamoring for pieces from the creative director, per the resale marketplace's new report. Published on August 25, 2026 To perhaps no one's surprise, a certain French maison has taken the crown for the most-search brand on a popular secondary marketplace. Chanel is the top brand on the RealReal this year, according to the luxury resale platform's 2026 Resale Report. And leading the push is Matthieu Blazy, whose coveted collections at the fashion house (which he joined in late 2024) have caused a frenzy online and off: Searches for the creative director on the site are up a massive 10,967 percent over the past year. As Robb Report know all, who's at the helm of a major house makes all the difference in demand. Sarah Burton, of Givenchy, and Jonathan Anderson, of Dior, have also seen a massive uptick of late of 243 percent and 158 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, the brands following Chanel as the most searched brands on the RealReal this year will also come as a shock to no one: Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, and Miu Miu round out the top five, followed by the Row, Hermès, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, and Balenciaga. Many iconic bags have seen a boost in average sales price since 2016, too. Fendi's Baguette has seen an uptick from $294 to $3,012, while the Gucci Jackie increased from $260 to a cool $1,110. In general, though, vintage pieces have had consumers in chokehold. Total demand for items that are 15 or more years old, which is what the RealReal considers "vintage," has skyrocketed by 432 percent from 2020 until now, according to the report. And styles inspired by the Belle Époque's drop-waists and rich textures have also grabbed shoppers' attention, thanks again to recent collections from Blazy and Anderson. The interest in secondary luxe shopping shows no signs of slowing down, either. In fact, it's overtaking growth on the primary high-end market by two or three times, with 58 percent of shoppers preferring the resale market, according to Capital One Shopping. And many of those consumers are viewing their purchases in the lens of resale value, with 48 percent of the group polled actively considering resale before they splash down their cash. Very wise, considering Hermès Birkin bags appreciated by 92 percent on the resale market over the last decade. Savvy shopping, indeed. Read more on:

Chanel takes over New Bahru with Parisian cafe-themed pop-up.

Chanel takes over New Bahru with Parisian cafe-themed pop-up. Chanel celebrates the launch of its new perfume Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu with an exclusive Coco Mademoiselle Pop-Up at New Bahru. Published Aug 20, 2026, 12:39 PM Updated Aug 20, 2026, 12:39 PM Chanel opens Parisian cafe-themed pop-up at New Bahru. The chairs are red and white rattan, the tables small, round and high. Transplanted into a room in lifestyle destination New Bahru, they evoke the louche, literary air of a brasserie in Paris' 6th arrondissement. French luxury house Chanel has transformed the space into a Parisian cafe to introduce visitors to its new perfume, Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu ($218 for 50ml, $311 for 100ml). Everything in the place ties back to the flirty scent - a fruitier, more floral spin on its classic Coco Mademoiselle fragrance first released in 2001. The floor and ceiling are pink to match the new scent's colour, a newspaper given to guests as they enter contains stories about it, including a flash fiction piece written from the perspective of the perfume. For visitors, the journey begins with a promotional short film starring American musician and Chanel ambassador Gracie Abrams. At the discovery "bar" in the centre of the room, guests sniff the three main scent components - known as accords - before trying on the final product. Then, a personal consultation with a beauty adviser who can help apply the line's new eyeshadow palette Les 9 Ombres ($205) and lipstick, the limited-edition Rouge Coco in Crush ($76). At the cafe counter, order from a menu of nine free drinks, a mix of coffee and fizzy options. The experience closes at a photo booth, which also contains a landline phone that plays intriguing messages. Pick up the receiver to hear titillating lines like "I never wanted to weigh more than a bird on the man I love". Guests will be given a scented keepsake as a door gift.

On Coco Chanel's birthday, Chanel Beauty unveils its latest launches.

On Coco Chanel's birthday, Chanel Beauty unveils its latest launches. August 19 marks what would have been Gabrielle Bonheur "Coco" Chanel's 143rd birthday. While 10 Magazine is sure the legendary French designer would have aged gracefully, Chanel Beauty is marking this special day with the launch of some new additions to its Le Lift skincare collection and Coco Mademoiselle Makeup line, as well as its new skincare range Sublimage Les Extraits. Designed to keep skin looking plump, hydrated and glowing, these new formulas offer a fitting tribute to Coco's enduring legacy of timeless beauty. Le Lift. Naturally, as 10 Magazine age, collagen production in the skin declines. In simple terms, this reduces the firmness and density of its complexion, meaning fine lines and wrinkles begin to emerge. However, through its collaboration with French start-up Damae, Chanel Beauty has engineered products designed to visibly reduce the signs of ageing through its coveted Le Lift line, all while maintaining the luxurious sensory experience synonymous with the house. What makes the new launches even more exciting is that both are enriched with Chanel's Pro-Lift complex, designed to penetrate deeper into the skin and target collagen with powerful anti-ageing molecules. Whether you prefer a richer, nourishing formula or something more lightweight and fluid, the two new products offer a tailored experience to suit your individual skin care preferences. The packaging oozes chic. Le Lift Crème comes housed in a sleek black jar, with subtle hints of mauve-purple shining through the glossy, refillable design. The cream boasts a smooth, silky formula that leaves skin feeling firmer, bouncier and deeply hydrated, while helping to restore facial volume for a plumper, brighter complexion. Meanwhile, Le Lift Fluide comes housed in a sleek rectangular bottle, finished in a light brown reflective hue and topped with an inky black cap. Enriched with AHA (alpha hydroxy acids), this lightweight formula glides effortlessly onto the skin, leaving a fresh, dewy finish while helping to refine skin texture and minimise the appearance of pores. Coco Mademoiselle Makeup. If you thought Chanel Beauty was finished celebrating its founder's birthday just with skincare offerings, think again. The brand is all but taking over the beauty sphere today, with the launch of its new Coco Mademoiselle makeup collection. The offering includes Les 9 Ombres, a new smoky limited edition palette featuring five high-impact eyeshadows and four shimmery top coats and the Rouge Coco Crush Limited Edition Lipstick, adorned with the House's signature double C delicately engraved into its mauve bullet. It also includes the new Stylo Yeux Waterproof eyeliner, the Joues Contraste Intense Rose Radiant Blush, the Le Vernis opaque pink nail polish and the fresh Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu fragrance. Sublimage Les Extraits. Last but definitely not least, Chanel has launched its golden elixir of beauty: the Sublimage Les Extraits skincare line. "Never sleep past eight o'clock in the morning. Never go to bed too late. Always remember that two hours of sleep before midnight are worth more than four before midday," said Gabrielle Chanel in an interview in the 1950s. This quote proved to be the very foundation of the line, which features Ublimage Les Extraits, Sublimage L'Extrait De Nuit and Sublimage L'Extrait Baume Regard. Each product is enriched with a concentrated Vanilla Planifolia molecule to triple the skin's cellular regeneration. This is combined with Swertia to target repair, along with a naturally derived Chronopeptide. It's the ultimate beauty wake-up call. The new launches are designed to be applied using the brand's L'Extrait De Fascia - a self-massage technique to plump the complexion and allow the products to penetrate the skin on a deeper level. So with their exquisite formulas, timeless packaging and perfected products, add these new Chanel goodies to your basket now, and by the time you reach Coco's age of 143, you won't look a day over 25.
