Mistplay runs a loyalty platform for mobile gamers. It helps casual gamers discover new games and stay engaged by earning Units—points earned simply by playing games—that can be redeemed for rewards such as gift cards. The app also features weekly contests, leaderboards, and in-app social tools so users can see friends’ activity and chat with each other. Revenue comes from partnerships with game developers who pay to feature their games and advertisers who reach the audience through in-app ads and promotions. Unlike other mobile-gaming apps that only show ads or pure discovery, Mistplay combines personalized game discovery with a robust rewards system and social features to motivate ongoing play. The goal is to keep users engaged and returning to the platform by rewarding continued gaming and connecting players with developers and advertisers.

Mistplay launches Audience Network following strategic acquisitions.

Mistplay launches Audience Network following strategic acquisitions. Mistplay has launched the Mistplay Audience Network, designed to expand the scale and reach of rewarded advertising across the mobile ecosystem. The launch follows Mistplay's recent acquisitions of Connected Rewards(TM), formerly part of Mobivity, and MyChips from MAF. Both are now integrated into the company's LoyaltyPlay platform, creating a unified offering that gives gaming advertisers access to new and incremental audiences across a global network of apps. Rewarded advertising has continued to grow as publishers look for stronger engagement and monetization models. With the Mistplay Audience Network, the company combines its owned-and-operated inventory with supply from Connected Rewards(TM) and MyChips, extending reach to tens of millions of monthly active users across consumer app categories including finance, shopping, fuel, convenience, and restaurants. The network is designed to support both publishers and brands through LoyaltyPlay, allowing publishers to integrate rewarded gameplay and in-app activities into existing experiences. The system enables users to earn real-world rewards while supporting deeper engagement, retention, and lifetime value. "We've spent the last decade building Mistplay with a clear intention: to create a rewarded ecosystem that works for everyone. This isn't about following a trend, it's about applying years of insight from advertisers and partners to build something more scalable, more effective, and more balanced. Bringing these all together allows us to deliver stronger outcomes across the platform." Aaron Thandi, CCO of Mistplay, described the launch as part of a longer-term strategy for the company. "This wasn't two deals. It was two pieces of a strategy we've been building toward for years. We've taken a patient, deliberate approach. From launching LoyaltyPlay to acquiring Connected Rewards(TM) and MyChips, each step has been focused on expanding what rewarded advertising can do. The Mistplay Audience Network is the result, a unified system built for scale and simpler advertiser access." The combined network spans North America, Europe, and Asia. Mistplay will officially debut the Mistplay Audience Network at MAU Vegas 2026, taking place between May 19-21.

Mistplay Announces Acquisition of Mobivity's Connected Rewards(TM) Platform to Expand Loyalty Gamification for Brands

Mistplay announces acquisition of Mobivity's Connected Rewards(TM) platform to expand loyalty gamification for brands. News provided by. MONTREAL, Jan. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Mistplay, a leading play-and-earn rewards and loyalty program for mobile gamers, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Connected Rewards(TM) platform and related assets from Mobivity Holdings Corp. (OTCQB: MFON), a platform that drives customer engagement for brands through gaming and rewards. The transaction is expected to close in early Q1 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Once completed, the acquisition will expand Mistplay's LoyaltyPlay business, creating new opportunities for app publishers to deliver loyalty experiences via mobile gaming that span both digital and real-world engagement. LoyaltyPlay, Mistplay's gaming reward hub, allows users to earn in-app rewards through gameplay and the completion of in-app activities, creating engagement loops that increase retention, lifetime value, and monetization within the publisher's app. Connected Rewards(TM) complements this by enabling consumers to earn real-world brand offers and rewards through gameplay, extending participation from mobile games into real-world purchasing moments and brand loyalty systems. Together, the platforms provide a unified omnichannel toolkit that creates new opportunities for game publishers to reach incremental audiences. For brands, LoyaltyPlay drives deep digital engagement, while Connected Rewards links gameplay to measurable, real-world incentives that help drive repeat behavior, traffic, and spend. "Loyalty isn't just about points or transactions - it's about creating experiences that genuinely resonate with users wherever they interact," said Tricia Han, CEO of Mistplay. "By bringing Connected Rewards into Mistplay's B2B product suite, we're bringing brands more options to engage users in meaningful and personal ways, in all the channels that brands touch their customers: in-app, in the real world, and everywhere in between. This acquisition opens new opportunities to reimagine how brands build loyalty and build authentic relationships with their audiences via mobile gaming." "Mobivity's Connected Rewards has always focused on using digital engagement to drive real-world action" said Kim Carlson, CRO of Mobivity. "Integrating the Connected Rewards technology into Mistplay's global game discovery and rewards platform allows us to drastically enhance the way brands interact with their customers. The combined solution opens the door to new ways to engage users earlier, more often, and across more moments and personal interactions - all while staying true to brand identity and customer flow." Looking ahead, Mistplay sees opportunities to extend these solutions into additional industries, including fintech and e-commerce, where rewards and meaningful engagement are becoming central to driving customer value.
